It’s that time of year again..the time between Christmas and New Year’s where no one knows what day it is, what their plans are, or when it’s appropriate to start drinking. I mean, 10 a.m. is fine for a glass of wine or a mimosa, right? New Year’s Eve. We’re all tired, broke from the holiday’s, and scrambling to find something to do to ring in the new year.
If you’re anything like me, you currently have no solid plans and definitely no champagne-flavored kiss awaiting when the clock strikes midnight. So what do you do? You frantically write out some resolutions that will be forgotten by February, throw together something glittery to wear, and find the perfect Instagram photo for the “new year, new me” caption.
New Year’s Eve is a day of reminiscing, paired with sparkling cider, alcohol, and your favorite Chinese food take-out. It’s a day to commemorate all the adventure of this past year, and excitedly anticipate the new opportunities waiting around the corner.
New Year’s Eve is the loneliness night of the year if your heart has recently been broken, or if you’re not in a relationship. The pressure and cliché-ness of finding your ‘true love’ to kiss at midnight weasels its’ way into all of our minds and harbors negative thoughts.
If you’re single for the new year, or are sick of the romance surrounding this holiday season, it doesn’t mean you have to shy away from the festivities. Surround yourself with family and friends, put on the Ryan Seacrest NYE special, and toast to bigger and better opportunity coming for you in the new year.
This year will be all about self-love, self-empowerment, and radiating positivity. And don’t worry, your dog is awaiting your midnight kiss ♡

When my Ex left me for my best friend I was devastated. I attempted suicide but my daughter stopped me. I didnt want to live, and I felt worthless and ugly. I learned valuable lessons and here are a few: A woman should always be able to support herself, We should love ourselves and give love to others. We need to learn from our mistakes and we should forgive ourselves and others too. Life is to short for it to be ruined by someones opinion.
Thanks for sharing your life with us. You know we love you!!❤
